GSC’s Skillsmender

Hi my name is Portia, and yesterday was my first day here at computing lessons. I my Cousin and my brother were the first people here,when we came we had to write our names and the the time we came In met this really nice teacher called Eddy he turned out to be our computing teacher.Eddy is a really funny,kind and NOT strict. When the the other people came started our work and made robots(Mbots).It opened my mind because my dream is to be a builder and as i was building this robot i really saw my future in front of me .It was really funny and fun. Eddy helped me the most as i was the closest to him.When we finished the robots we got to program it and make it sing Happy-Birthday.We had Lunch at 2:00 it was a dream because we had crisp cake and all treats(even thought the food is unhealthy we still adore it )Eddy gives us some free time so we all play with each other.What i learnt there was to focus on my future.

DAY 2 OF COMPUTING CLASS

Yesterday was our second day of computing class.We programmed our m-bots to form a square and we put in a lot of effort.After we were done Eddy lets us have a race with our m-bots at first it I, Alex and Cecil were the only people racing and I would always come last,but when every one came it was a miracle because i came 1st three time s and i won Cecil came 2nd and Alex came 3rd. Some of us were secretly eating crisp.

LUNCH

At lunch it was the same but we ate fruit before all of the treats.We had juice crisp. YUM it was a lot of commotion during lunch.There was a lot of talking and shouting.We had five minutes to free play.This time Addison brought in Doritos.

Home time

When we went home Cecil’s Mother picked us up.In the car we played the Youtbers game it was really fun i came last Cecil came second Alex came first.

DAY 3 OF COMPUTING CLASS

Yesterday was my third day of computing class.We programmed our robots sing and dance my one was not really working so Eddy and Ash had to fix it didn’t take that long to be fixed.We also completed a square that literally took forever ,We also did other shapes like circles.

LUNCH

I, Cecil and Alex had a lot of food because we shared, Cecil brought in two crisp and Party rings me and Alex had multiple of crisp and we shared we had juice and way more food.

FUN TIME

For fun time we play football with our m-bot it was really fun thought our team lost by one point.

HOME TIME

At home time Cecil’s Mother came and picked us up again we went in the car and told Cecil’s Mum all about it and we would also laugh because their were some funny moments.

DAY 4 OF COMPUTING CLASS

Today at computing class we got to make our own APP we made m-bot apps it was really fun and funny we had to get a cute background and i chose a really cute robot with a heart in the middle you can also draw it.Eddy helped put our games onto the Tablets i made a few mistakes like i made back go forward and forward go back but i got use to it so it was fine,but i was thinking if this was on the app store will i get sued because i did it wrong ?‍♀️.

APP CREATING

We created our apps and it was really fun first we had to do which format we wanted left,back,forward,right,connect and stop.i chose the table format as i thought it was the best one to do.

FUN TIME

For fun time we used our apps to race and i was eliminated because me and Addison had no wins and Addison won.

LUNCH

For lunch Addison decided to share with us.We had a big feast,we also made a lot of mess that we had to clean and Addison refused to help us clean.

HOME

At the end of the day Cecil’s mum came and picked us up again we were talking in the car about the pizza we were going to get.

DAY 5 OF COMPUTING CLASS

Today is our last day of computing class. I also came with my cousin and brother we were first again.We get to take our M-bots home as we have finished all the nineteen steps.We also upgraded our apps.We did a lot of fun stuff instead of programming and stuff like that.We also did races with our own apps i am sad this is the last day.???
